Family run and truly independent, The Bricklayer's Arms is one of SW London's last surviving traditional 'Backstreet Boozers'

About Us

Originally founded as The Waterman's Arms in 1826 to serve the local ship builders of Putney, our traditional London local has been serving the residents of Putney for almost 200 years.

Reborn in 2020, The Bricklayers Arms is a cosy and traditional pub that has quickly become a focal point of the local community, and a beacon for cask and craft beer lovers across London.

From the carefully selected music to our thoughtfully curated drink menu, our exceptional team is dedicated to providing a unique and memorable experience for all our guests. Whether you're out with friends or simply looking to quench your thirst, we invite you to spend your evening with us at The Brick.

Our Beers

"A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it’s better to be thoroughly sure" - Czech Proverb

Cask ale is a quintessential staple of a British pub, and here at The Bricklayers we work closely with local, regional, and national breweries to showcase the very best of British beer. From classic ales from Timothy Taylor to modern styles from Five Points Brewing, Wimbledon Brewery, and many more; we are confident we have something for every taste.
